Your monthly bill is based on a single metric: GB transferred per month, the total data moved in and out across all your pipelines.
- Data is measured as the volume transferred from source to destination, counted once per pipeline run, not separately for the read and the write.
- Any further transformations performed inside your destination (dbt models, stored procedures, data platform compute) do not count toward your GB usage.
- GB is measured on the Apache Arrow data the agent relays between connectors, including the two key and change-tracking columns Amfelt adds to every record, so it can differ from, and for narrow tables exceed, the size your source reports.
- Usage is accumulated across all DTAP environments (develop, test, acceptance, production).

Yes. The Free trial gives you up to 5 GB/month for 3 months, with no credit card. It includes all connectors and the on-premise agent, making it a genuine way to evaluate Amfelt in your own environment. When the trial ends, choose a paid plan to keep your pipelines running.
Amfelt integrates with your existing data platform. Your infrastructure provider may charge separately for data processing, storage, or egress. These costs are independent of your Amfelt plan and vary by provider.
